DATE: SUNDAY 30 APRIL
VENUE: BEAULIEU HOUSE
TICKETS: €14/€12 CONC.
On a wind-swept afternoon, Charlotte Brontë returns to her father’s bleak parsonage, having just buried the last of her siblings. Over the course of the evening she contemplates her future alone, caring for her elderly father and reminiscing about her brilliant literary sisters, her wayward brother Branwell and the mother she scarcely remembers. In the midst of this mourning, she finds solace, humour and acceptance as she composes a letter to a friend and recalls joyful memories of childhood. This charming one woman show will come to life in the beautiful surroundings of Beaulieu House.
Produced by Vere Lenox – Conyngham at Anaverna, County Louth and commissioned by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council to commemorate the bicentennial of the birth of the author of Jane Eyre.
An optional shuttle bus will depart from Highlanes Gallery, Laurence Street at 4:30pm sharp returning after the performance. Advance booking required.
