We are delighted to announce that the recipients of the Drogheda Arts Festival 2019 Commission are Drogheda artists Els Borghart and Declan Kelly, who, as members of The Belfast Ensemble, will present a visual re-imagining of Ten Plagues during this year’s festival. Part torch song, part Schubert, this ground-breaking piece of music-theatre written by composer Conor Mitchell and playwright Mark Ravenhill traces one man’s journey through a city in crisis.
Ten Plagues will be presented in the Droichead Arts Centre on Sunday May 5th 2019, with performances at 5pm and 9pm. For further details and to book tickets click here.
The Drogheda Arts Festival Commision has been developed to support professional artists from the North East in the development and presentation of new work, and is kindly supported by Louth County Council and the Arts Council. For details on additional ways to participate in the festival, please email Elaine at email@example.com.
