DESCRIPTION:Drogheda Arts Festival is proud to present ROGU Double Bill – two street performances in the stunning surroundings of Millmount – an evening of fire\, mystery and magic. \nMeet Riuchi – a warrior and alchemist at once. Riuchi emerged from a mystical Eastern land and is inspired by the performers Asian cultural roots and by Japanese animation\, dreaming of jumping high while launching fireballs at imaginary assailants. Follow Riuchi through his adventures of struggle and triumph\, crafting a visual realm that defies logic\, gravity and expectations mixing traditional and contemporary magic techniques through martial arts\, to produce an unexpected sense of wonder. \nRiuchi has received several awards and became one of the winners of Ireland’s “New Emerging Artists” for 2016. \nElement – join two of Cork County’s finest fire and circus performers who bring us on a journey of transformation as they invoke the primal power of the flame to deliver an inspiring and empowering spectacle fire performance. \nFlames\, sparks and movement paint spectacular spellbinding scenes and invite the audience to another world of possibility. A visually stunning experience of fire and movement that is suitable for audiences of all ages.
