SUMMARY:Tá Go Maith
DESCRIPTION:“Gratefulness doesn’t just make you happy — it creates a positive feedback loop in your relationships. So express that gratitude to the people you care about.” Rónán Ó Snodaigh \n‘Tá Go Maith’ is a collection of new solo works by Rónán Ó Snodaigh and Myles O’Reilly. Created during lockdown in a remote cottage in Co. Kildare\, surrounded by a forest and lake\, which sets the backdrop of the album’s inspiration and sounds. \nWith a car full of instruments\, the two long time friends took this rare opportunity of time and isolation to create a beautiful new album inspired by reflection and newly found connections with time\, place\, family\, friends and gratitude. \nInfluenced by both artist’s musical backgrounds of traditional Irish music and electronic ambient textures\, the pair have described their new album as soundtracking a gentle spirituality. \n“‘Tá Go Maith’ translates as I am well. It is the marker of the possibly unexpected sense of wellbeing Ó Snodaigh attained during the enforced ban on performing provided by the pandemic. The catalyst came via filmmaker Myles O’Reilly\, who\, adrift without films to make\, reawakened his first love\, that of making music. An album not to be rushed\, Tá Go Maith presents an opportunity to slow down and embrace its evocative gentle mood and positivity. Do so\, and you will discover “tá gach rud go maith”: all is well.” Folk Radio 2021 \nWe are delighted to announce Drogheda musician\, composer\, producer\, Ógy Collins will be joining Tá Go Maith; Rónán Ó’Snodaigh & Myles O’Reilly at Gerrard’s Church \nÓgy is a musician\, composer and producer from Drogheda. He released his debut solo EP in December 2021 followed in February 2022 by ‘Where Are We Now?’\, a reworking of a piece commissioned by thirtythree-45 for last year’s Drogheda Arts Festival. Both releases are available on bandcamp. \nBOOK NOW
